CURRENT SHOWS AT RMQM:
Colorado SAQA’s “Under the Western Sun” The Studio Art Quilters Association’s (SAQA) regional juried challenge featuring Western quilt art by Western artists. Where an artist lives impacts the voice with which they speak, here in the West we experience extremes of climate and altitude; intense color and light, unusual landscapes and plants; unique people and cultures. These all influence the work we do Under the Western Sun.
“Buffalo Bill: Quilting the Wild West”. The show is was an open invitation to all quilters and fiber artists to create a quilt commemorating Buffalo Bill Cody and the Wild West, in collaboration with the Buffalo Bill Museum. This exhibit celebrates the life and the 100th anniversary of his death. The exhibit was juried by Steve Friesen, Executive Director of the Buffalo Bill Museum & Grave in Golden, CO.
